About

The Ewe Union in Hamburg was founded in the year 1992 by Mr. Yao Damenshie-Brown. 25th Anniversary celebration in the year 2016.

For the posterity’s sake, it is worth acknowledging that the Ewe Union Hamburg was founded by Mr.Yao Damenshie-Brown, who upon return from a short trip to the USA, was amazed at how united and cooperative the American Ewe Union portrayed itself. He soon thereafter brought about the idea of having a Union of the Ewe People living in Hamburg, at a time where only a handful Ghanaians knew what it takes to have a union. The Ewe Union then became, according to Mr. Brown,  the first registered Ghanaian Union in Hamburg.
