Preamble
We, the Ewe people (Eʋedukɔ́) are the largest ethnic group in Togo, the third largest ethnic group in Ghana  and are a minority ethnic group in southern BeninIvory Coast and Nigeria.

Though divided by geographical borders, we remained unified through the practice of our rich culture, which we deem more than necessary to preserve, for our ‘culture is all that is left, after we have forgotten what we learned., (Guido Bruno).

In this regard, we, the Ewe community in Hamburg, in Germany, seeking to promote common welfare and maintenance of peace, amongst the sons and daughters of the Eweland or of ewe descent and seeing to their integration in the German society, have created the Ewe Union, officially under the name EWE-VEREIN e.V. HAMBURG, in the Ewe language ‘NƆVISI HABƆBƆ.
